On a hot summer day a wheelie bin containing household waste can be a very unpleasant experience. An ideal solution to avoid this problem is the use of paper wheelie bin liners.

The bin liners are a perfect and very hygienic solution for use in wheelie bins as the household waste will not be in direct contact with the wheelie bin, preventing the bin from becoming dirty, greasy and smelly. The bin liner is inserted in the bin and can be emptied and composted along with the bin contents. The bin liner sits neatly in the bin and is easily emptied along with the contents - there is no reduction in the emptying times and the standard lifting and emptying methods can be used. The paper bin liner absorbs and contains the moisture whilst still retaining its strength. As the paper can ‘breathe’ there is less odour and the ‘break-down’ process can start. The paper also adds structure to the compost and addresses the Carbon: Nitrogen balance. This is particularly important if a large amount of grass cuttings are in the bin.
